Main Features of the Billet Cutting Saw

Circular  Saw Box

The sawing box is a key transmission part of the billet cutting saw. It ensures high precision, durability, and stability during cutting. Made from Q345-B structural steel, it uses welded assembly and stress-relief aging to maintain long-term integrity.

The sawing box includes four rows of bearing bores. These bores are machined in one pass with a combined boring bar after assembly, ensuring accurate positioning and dimensional consistency.

Inside, the gearbox adopts a zero-backlash gear system. All gears are alloy steel, quenched and ground to Grade 6 accuracy. Input, output, and intermediate shafts are hardened and polished for strength and wear resistance.

The bearing system uses imported precision bearings. INA needle bearings support critical points, while NSK and FAG bearings ensure smooth operation and long service life.

To prevent input shaft deformation, a load-relief structure sits between the pulley and shaft. This design keeps alignment with the main motor and allows easy assembly and removal.

Main spindle bearings and gears are cooled by an oil system. This improves thermal control, rigidity, and precision while reducing temperature rise.

The zero-backlash design reduces gear impact and noise. It extends bearing life and creates a quieter, more efficient billet saw environment. This advanced structure also benefits bar cutting machines, circular saw systems, pipe cutting machines, and CNC cut-off saws.

Its optimized design aligns the auxiliary rail with the largest saw blade for efficient force transfer and protection. This structure delivers high accuracy, reduces wear, and extends service life. Automatic unloading further lowers energy use and maintenance needs.

Friction pads serve as lining materials, delivering flexible support and superior energy absorption. Each side of the saw blade features a hydraulic clamping unit composed of a horizontal clamp, a vertical clamp, and a clamping base. These units deliver multi-directional, stable clamping of the pipe billet, ensuring precise positioning and rigidity throughout the sawing process.

Hydraulic actuation provides strong clamping force and rapid response, making the system ideal for high-frequency, automated cutting operations. To enable quick blade retraction and prevent interference, each clamping unit includes an automatic separation function. After cutting, the clamps open a 5 mm gap, allowing the saw blade to exit smoothly and safely, improving cycle time and operational safety.
